As the ceremony came to a close, a surprise performance by local high school students—covering “Whatever It Takes”—brought cheers and tears to the crowd.

Reynolds joined them on stage for a final chorus, his voice ringing out across the square named in his honor.

While the monument may stand still, Dan Reynolds continues to move people—through his music, his activism, and his unshakable belief in the goodness of humanity.
